Riordan Clinic

Wichita, Kansas (March 25, 2026) — Riordan Clinic, a nonprofit organization and leader in functional and integrative medicine, announced today that Drew Rose, DO, has been appointed Chief Medical Officer (CMO). In this role, Dr. Drew will help guide clinical strategy and care delivery as the Clinic continues to build on five decades of asking deeper questions, following the data, and caring for the whole person.

For 50 years, individuals navigating cancer, autoimmune conditions, and complex chronic illness have come to Riordan Clinic seeking a more comprehensive understanding of their health. The Clinic’s approach combines advanced nutritional lab testing, extensive medical evaluation, and personalized care plans. Riordan refers to those it serves as co-learners, reflecting a shared commitment to understanding what is happening in the body and what steps may support each individual’s path forward.

“Riordan Clinic has always been a place willing to ask deeper questions, follow the data, and care for the whole person,” said Michelle Niesley, ND, MS, FABNO, Chief Executive Officer of Riordan Clinic. “Dr. Drew Rose’s appointment as Chief Medical Officer strengthens that commitment and supports the next generation of care, research, and the experience we’re creating for co-learners as we continue to grow.”

“For 50 years, Riordan Clinic has been built by people who refused to accept ‘there’s nothing more we can do,’” said Ron Hunninghake, MD, President of Riordan Clinic and Chairman of the Board. “Dr. Drew Rose brings strong clinical leadership and shares that same belief in integrative, patient-centered care. I’m excited about what this means for our co-learners and for the future of the Clinic.”

Dr. Ron will continue to see co-learners while serving as President.

Dr. Drew currently serves as Clinical Medical Director at Riordan Clinic’s Wichita campus, where he works with co-learners navigating complex and chronic conditions. A Wichita native, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish from Wichita State University and completed medical school at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Englewood, Colorado. During his training, he completed a teaching fellowship focused on Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM), a service now offered at Riordan Clinic.

He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and completed his residency at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago in 2019, where he served as Chief Resident. After returning to Kansas, Dr. Drew joined Salina Regional Health Center as a hospitalist and later served as Clinical Medical Director of the Hospitalist group and Department of Medicine Chair.

“Working in the ICU during the pandemic showed me how important it is to individualize care,” said Dr. Drew Rose, DO, Chief Medical Officer. “Cookie-cutter approaches were, and still are, often ineffective.”

Dr. Drew has written and presented on osteopathic medicine topics since 2013 and is committed to expanding community education and engagement while supporting a thoughtful, individualized approach to complex medical cases. He is inspired by a quote from Andrew Taylor Still, MD, DO, founder of osteopathy: “To find health is the object of the doctor. Anyone can find disease.”
